  • New PILA Website (including mobile Bulletin access) Launched
08 March 2012

New PILA Website (including mobile Bulletin access) Launched!

PILA is delighted to announce that it has launched its new website - a true hub of public interest law online including a mobile website.

Major new changes you might like to take a look at on www.pila.ie are:

  • clear information about what PILA is and does by clicking either “For Lawyers” “For Organisations” or “For Academics & Law Students”. The information here is tailored to each of those groups!
  • take a look under “Key Issues” for lots of information and resources under these themes. You’ll find a bit of information about that area and the relevant work that PILA does – and then lots of content! You can filter content using the buttons (eg if you just want to see Conference Papers, or Bulletin pieces on that topic). You might especially like to look especially at the “Barriers to Public Interest Litigation” key issue – you will find clear explanations of tricky concepts like mootness, and be able to filter content by the type of barriers (as well as by the usual content types, using the buttons).
  • you can look at our Achievements page (you’ll see the link to it scroll across the revolving carousel on the main page, or you can access it through About Us) – this sets out clearly PILA’s achievements to date since its launch.
  • you can now easily access the site on your iPhone, Android phone, Blackberry or Windows Phone! Whether you go to PILA.ie from your phone, or click one of the Bulletin links in your mobile email you will be autodirected to the mobile website (no matter what kind of smartphone you’re using). For now, the mobile website is just for the Bulletin – but soon all content, and future exciting developments to the PILA website will be available in mobile format.

PILA's new website was developed by Totally Communications.
