ECHR: Protocol 14 to the ECHR entered into force – 1 June 2010
Protocol 14 to the European Convention on Human Rights entered into force on 1 June 2010. The Protocol aims to give the Court the necessary practical means to concentrate on the most importance cases while at the same time processing all applications within a reasonable time. It includes provisions on filtering out unmeritorious cases, measures for dealing with repetitive cases as well as a new admissibility requirement.
